As a kid, I truly hated the days when I was forced to dress up and go for family portraits. Most of the time the photographers seemed really odd, and they would always force poses on all of us that just didn’t seem natural. Not only did the poses feel goofy, but most of the final prints reflected it! When the photographer said “Say cheese!” he meant it!! CHEESY POSES!!
Despite my childhood nightmares with these portrait studios, I have always been interested in photography. However, my interest was in photographs that were contemporary, creative, spontaneous and fun! I believe that pictures should portray characteristics of the person/couple/family and accentuate their personality.
I have found that photography makes me look at things in a different way, and gives me a different kind of appreciation for everything around me. To me, photographs are important because they can capture a moment in time and preserve that memory for many lifetimes. What a great way to share your experiences with other people!
If you are looking for a fresh approach to capturing your unique moments for your upcoming wedding, engagement or any other special event, please give me a call. I would love to learn about your wedding plans, and to find out how together we can preserve your precious memories.
